Our Handicap Committee serves all Stonebridge Ranch Country Club members (The Dye Course and The Hills Course) and has several goals:

  1. Make the golf experience fair and enjoyable by all golfing members that maintain a USGA Handicap Index.
  2. Assist any member with concerns or questions about the USGA Handicapping System.
  3. Provide advice to the Golf staff regarding USGA Handicap and Course requirements.
  4. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all the handicaps of those golfers at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club who play competitive golf.  It is also the responsibility of the Handicap Committee to ensure that all golfers who play in competitive events comply with the requirements of the USGA Handicap System.  Two basic premises underlie the USGA Handicap System, namely that each player will try to make the best score at every hole in every round and that every player will properly post every acceptable round for peer reviewClick here for details of what constitutes an acceptable score.

Players are subjected to Peer Review to confirm their adherence to the handicap procedures. Membership scoring records are available on the Handicap Computer Terminals in each golf shop to encourage peer review.  Anyone who has a reasonable basis for supporting or disputing a score that has been posted (or not posted) should advise a member of the Handicap Committee or Golf Professional Staff.

Note: Maximum score to post on any hole is limited to Net Double Bogie!  (only for posting, you still have to comply with the rules of the competition, i.e., use your actual score for the event)
